About Jersey Colorectal
Miklos Kassai is a consultant colorectal surgeon working in Jersey. He performs general surgical procedures like gall bladder and hernia surgeries as well as the full range of large bowel, rectal and minor anal surgeries. He has 34 years experience in surgery. He qualified as a European Colorectal Surgeon in 2003. His current interest is laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, and most of his cases including cancer operations are done this way. He wants to introduce robotic surgery on the Island.
About Miklos
I work in Jersey General Hospital caring for more than a 100.000 population. My practice involves general surgery, but mostly colorectal cases with the whole spectrum of this subspecialty. I treat patients with benign and malignant pathology including cancer of the colon and the rectum, IBD and diverticular disease. I care for patients with benign rectal and anal diseases like piles, fissures, rectal prolapse and other minor anal conditions. I participate in a 1:5 on call rota that keeps a strong general surgical involvement. Routine and emergency cholecystectomies and hernia repairs are also part of my practice. Read more…
